I am currently auditing courses in the CalArts UI/UX Design Specialization on Coursera. The UI/UX Design Specialization brings a design-centric approach to user interface and user experience design, and offers practical, skill-based instruction centered around a visual communications perspective.
Courses: Visual Elements of User Interface Design (completed), UX Design Fundamentals (in progress), Web Design: Strategy and Information Architecture, Web Design: Wireframes to Prototypes
I will continue to update this page as I complete each course.
Course 1: Visual Elements of User Interface Design
The assignment was to sketch a smartphone app that focuses on one simple task (one of the options being an app that finds a specific food within a given area), tailoring it to a specific audience.
Deliverables included a mood board to define the look and feel of the project, a sample pattern library of interface elements (applying the look and feel of the mood board), and a sketch of the home interface and main functionality of the app.
